Finest Karate & Judo
The Ryokubi Dojo, Inc. is a non-profit organization which provides Karate and Judo Programs to the community. The Dojo was established as a Karate school in 1999 by Joe-Joe Suozzi, the Chief Karate Instructor, and has been teaching Karate-do to numerous students in Stamford, CT.
In 2007, the Dojo added Judo Program as it relocated to central part of Stamford. Whereas the majority of students reside in Fairfield County, some students travel from Westchester County, NY and the Bronx.
There is a distinct need in today's "shortcut, short attention-span" culture for programs that are geared towards mental focus and physical fitness. Karate/Judo training goes beyond the mere physicality of sports activity, emphasizing the importance of respect, integrity and honor, while achieving perfection of movement and the self-development of character.
The Dojo introduced other programs, such as Tiger Cubs Program for younger children and Lion Spirit Program for children with special needs. It is also trying to establish a program for mature adults in order to better serve the community.
